Join me and travel the wonderful world of filming locations. Your friends Zion, Mattea, and Colton will be your hosts, as they guide you to some of your favorite movie locations. You will learn some movie trivia, movie facts, and see some pictures from the movie and how those same locations look today. You will have fun traveling the world of movie locations.
E.T. filming locations
One of our favorite movies is E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. This family friendly movie was released on June 11th, 1982. Steven Spielberg directed this film and it was filmed in Porter Ranch and Tujunga.



It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World

Grease
Our next featured movie is Grease. Grease was released on Jun 16th, 1978 and was filmed at Leo Carillo State Beach, Venice High School, Los Angeles, and John Marshall High School where the school carnival was filmed.

Groundhog Day
Groundhog Day is one of my favorite movies. It was released on February 12, 1993. It was filmed in a beautiful little city of Woodstock in Illinois. I got to visit Woodstock with my family on January 4th, 2025. I hope you enjoy the pictures of my trip below.



Back to the Future
Back to the Future was one of the best 80s movies ever made since the first film came out on July 3, 1985. Did you know the high school scenes were filmed right here in Whittier? Other scenes were filmed in Burbank, Arleta, Industry, Eastvale, South Pasadena, Universal Backlot, and the Gamble House in Pasadena. Happy 40 years of the original Back to the Future!



Legally Blonde
Legally Blonde is a great romantic comedy that was released on July 13, 2001 starring Reese Witherspoon and Luke Wilson. It followed the character of Elle Woods as she attended Harvard University to fulfill her dream of being a lawyer. A lot of scenes were filmed in Pasadena, Sierra Madre, Monrovia, Los Angeles, La Canada Flintridge, USC campus, and Orange.
